REFLECTIVE SPACE - Dynamic new work by a group of six innovative artists

The Crypt Gallery, St Pancras Church, Euston Road, London NW1 2BA – 1 – 11 May 2013

The Crypt Gallery celebrates the opening of a new and highly original exhibition entitled Reflective Spaces. The exhibition showcases recent dynamic and experimental work by a group of six artists who explore the influence of memory on their practice.

Reflective Spaces will feature work in a range of media, including painting, drawing, photography, mixed media and textiles and seeks to demonstrate how each artist utilises these processes to bring together fragments of the past. They recall themselves, others, places and emotions to produce diverse and personal work.

The six participating artists are Dick Barnard, Nicky Callaby, Kim Logan, Debbie Lyddon, Laura Pymer and Heather Wadsworth.

The Pulse.....Playing Favourites

For those of you like me who follow Seth Apter's wonderful and inspiraltional blog 'The Altered Page' tomorrow can see a further instalment of his incedibly popular 'The Pulse'. Seth has featured a number of artists who have answered the following question...

Abandonment and Loss.

I have published a small book through Blurb in part fulfilment of a module on my Masters Degree. Its called Abandonment and Loss, Tyneham Village, Dorset.

Tyneham is a sad story of an evacuated village in Dorset UK, during WW2.

Currently exhibiting at Margaret Harvey Gallery

I am currently exhibiting three pieces of work at 'Margaret Harvey Gallery' until December 23rd 2010.

The gallery is in St. Albans, Hertfordshsire, UK. It is a group exhibition of students and alumni from Hertfordshire University, and I was lucky enough for my work to be chosen to be exhibited.

New Work......its been a while..!!!

Wow it's been a while, but after a year of working on my Masters I have just started some new work and it is being exhibited at the moment at my University as part of my end of year assessment. This is the first part of work in progress, and over the following few months extraneous materials will be added to the works, like paint, collaged papers, textures etc...!! I have loved making the 3 long panels, each are 2 metres long and made out of chiffon. The other 2 large canvases are around a metre square each.
